Things to Do

London can be described in many ways. Traditional, fashionable, multicultural and charming are just a few of the words used by folks when speaking of this vibrant city, which is why so many visitors flock to this destination each year. Day-to-day activities like high tea and the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace offer a unique insight into time honored traditions, while London’s fashionable shopping, restaurants and pubs cater to a more progressive traveler.

While visiting, you can choose from tours of famous landmarks, world-class museums and galleries or visits to well-manicured parks. Shopping opportunities are plentiful -- you’ll find everything for sale here -- or if you prefer, spend a leisurely afternoon enjoying fish and chips and a pint of beer at a local pub. Tours typically include the sites of the Tower of London, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Tourists may also enjoy the open-air cafes, trendy boutiques and lively street entertainers at Covent Garden.

After seeing the sites, stop for a spot of tea and scones at one of London’s fine hotels, or browse racks of clothes, specialty gifts and fine foods at the famous Harrod’s Department Store, still considered a fine English institution. However you decide to spend your time in London, you’ll certainly enjoy one of the world’s greatest cities.
